Angus Clyde Colson, 100, peacefully passed away into the arms of Jesus on October 6, 2017. He joined his beloved wife, on the day of their wedding anniversary. Born in Lily, Florida, he lived in Manatee County all his life. He was a devoted husband, father, and dedicated man of God. He was preceded in death by his wife of 77 years, Ola Jane Albritton Colson and sons Charles and Earl Colson. He leaves behind four sons, Edward, Ray, Roy and Wayne Colson as well as four daughters, Virginia Murphy, Beverly Colson, Mary Noriega, and Joyce Colson. He was a grandfather, great-grandfather and a great-great-grandfather to many. He also leaves behind two sisters, Mrs. Corinne O’ Bryan of Roy, Utah and Mrs. Vesta Meriwether of Pompano Beach, Florida. “Though we grieve for his passing, we rejoice in the knowledge that he is renewed.” Services: Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 14, 2017 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. Funeral service will immediately follow at 11:00 AM at Griffith-Cline Funeral Home, 720 Manatee Avenue West in Bradenton, FL. Internment at Keen Cemetery in Duette, Florida. In lieu of flowers, a love offering may be given in Mr. Colson’s honor to Temple Baptist Church, 901 N. Mills Avenue, Arcadia, FL 34266.
