Anita "Dawn" Cole

Anita Dawn Cole passed away July 23, 2015 at the age of 80 in Olympia, Washington. She was born January 13, 1935 to Samuel Lewis Taylor and Anita Lois Melendy in Fernley, Nevada. She was raised in Castro Valley, California, the youngest of seven children, four brothers and two sisters. She suffered from Alzheimer’s for the last 10 years before passing. Anita was a hard worker, both in and outside the home. She worked full time for 30 years in the restaurant business and 17 years at the hospital as a housekeeper before retiring in Bend, Oregon. Anita raised four children, Lori, Rhonda, Lane, and Lynn. Her only son, William “Lane,” passed away at the age of 29 from a train accident. She moved to Bend Oregon on January 1, 1978 and then to Yelm, Washington in 1994 to be closer to her daughters, Lori and Lynn. She was an avid saver. She loved to play cards with her daughter Lynn and her grandchildren. She played catch and baseball with Jason and Isaac. While in Bend, she loved gardening and taking care of her flowers. She also enjoyed mystery movies, books and ceramics. She enjoyed cooking with Josh and cooking for her beloved Pomeranian dog, Precious. She is survived by her sister, Glenna Gray; her children, Lori Dawn Camarda-Duran, Rhonda Jean Camarda, Gloria “Lynn” Cole-Byers; grandchildren, Angelina Duran-Buholm, Anna Duran-Ojeda, Jorge Duran Jr., Bianca Duran, Jason Byers, Isaac Byers, and Joshua Byers; great grandchildren, Aspen Buholm, Kaeden Buholm, Lane Buholm, Jasmine Rodriguez-Duran, Yesenia Rodriguez-Duran, Jorge Ojeda Duran, Esperanza Duran, Catalina Duran, Jorge Duran III, Giovanni Lopez-Duran, and Aniya Johnson. She was predeceased by her son, Lane; parents; and siblings, Ronald Walter Taylor, Charles Lewis Taylor, Wilfred Raymond Taylor, Burrell “Dale” Taylor, and Myrtle “Jean” Couch.
