**Obituary for Anita Colleen Liddiard (née McCormick)**
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the peaceful passing of Anita Colleen Liddiard, née McCormick, on August 26, 2024, in Meridian, Idaho. Born on November 22, 1936, in Astoria, Oregon, Anita's life was a testament to love, dedication, and unyielding kindness.
Anita was a devoted daughter to Robert and Dorthy Springer, and a cherished sister to Bobby, all of whom predeceased her. She found love and companionship with her husband, Ed Liddiard, with whom she shared matrimony on February 5, 1994, until his passing. The depth of her love extended to their blended family, including her children Debby (who has also passed), Russ (and his wife Becky), Clint (and his wife Sally), and Brenda (and her husband Mike). Anita's legacy lives on through her 12 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Educated at Hailey High School, where she graduated in 1954, Anita pursued higher education at Boise State Jr. College before earning her Paralegal degree from Boise State University. Her career as a paralegal at Ringert Clark started in 1968, spanning three decades until her retirement in 1998. Post-retirement, Anita embraced a life filled with traveling, family trips, and active involvement with the Shriners. She remained a steadfast fan of Boise State Football, eagerly anticipating each game.
Anita's loving spirit and dedication to her family were the cornerstones of her life. She was renowned for her kind nature and her dedication to those she loved. Her home was always filled with warmth, cultivated by her love for her family and her animals.
A memorial service in Anita's honor will be held at Summers Funeral Home on Wednesday, September 18, 2024, at 1:00 PM. Following the memorial, a graveside service will take place at the Idaho State Veterans Cemetery on Thursday, September 19, 2024, at 2:00 PM. The family kindly requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association in memory of Anita.
Anita Liddiard's life was a beacon of love and kindness, a legacy that will continue to inspire and comfort those who had the privilege of knowing her. May her soul find eternal peace.
