Ann Bensen

Ann Marie Raywood Bensen passed away Saturday, April 12, 2014 after a long battle with cancer. She was born on May 31, 1926 in Miami, Fla. to Harry and Minnie Marie Raywood She graduated from Gesu Catholic High School class of 1945. Ann also attended classes at the University of Miami. She worked for the telephone company as a marine operator in Miami before her marriage to her true love and husband of 64 years J.R. Bensen, Sr. After J.R. retired they travelled the world the next 32 years. Ann is survived by her sons, John R. Bensen, Jr. (Debbie), and Michael Louis Bensen. She has four granddaughters and four great grand children. Due to Ann’s love of flowers and birds she was a long time member of the Kendall Garden Club, in Miami. In memory of Ann donations can be made to the Fairchild Tropical Gardens of Miami, FI. or to Habitat for Humanity.
