Ann Marie Bowman

Ann Marie Bowman, 78, of Gulfport, passed away on Thursday, December 1, 2016 Surviving are her daughters, Lori Bowman of Kingsport, TN; Nancy RaeLynn Adams of Gulfport, FL and son Jay Bowman also of Gulfport. Three grandchildren: Don Bowman of Kingsport; Zack Bryant of Nashville, TN and Katie Bryant of Johnson City, TN. Brother William Moss and wife, Patricia of Forked River, NJ and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband John F. Bowman (1996); Her parents Ida Sloan Moss (2008) and Clarence H. Moss, Sr. (1995); brother Clarence H. Moss Jr. (2007); Robert Moss (2000) and baby brother David Moss (1977). Ann was born in Scranton, PA, moved to New Brunswick, NJ as a teen and eventually settled in Kingsport, TN with Jack to raise their family before she retired to Gulfport. Ann was an award winning floral designer as well as a housewife, and entreprenour. Ann loved living in the town of Gulfport and Town Shores retirement community. Ann was a vivacious woman who was loved by many and lived her life to the fullest, never letting her disability get her down. You could often see Ann and her friends, the "Go-Go girls" riding their electric scooters through downtown Gulfport and the beachfront, taking full advantage of everything her beloved town had to offer. Ann was an organ donor and in keeping with her love of helping others, was able to give the gift of sight to a stranger. A Memorial Mass will be held at 1 PM on December 10th - St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 2101 22nd Ave S, St. Petersburg.
