Ullrey Memorial Chapel
Ann Carothers
Two years have passed since she lost her 10-year battle with breast cancer at her home in Live Oak, California. That sad goodbye is as painful and heartfelt today as it was when she died at 6 PM on that unforgettable night with her children and our dear friend, Kristy Fowler by her side.In the weeks before her death, she said she felt her life had been wonderful. While she missed her husband, the love of her life, Ray Carothers, whom she married on August 9, 1958, and their 35-year shared professional life with Sprouse-Reitz, she was not afraid to die and looked forward to being with the family members who preceded her in death.Ann is survived by her children, Daniel-Ray Carothers and Dennise Burbank; two grandchildren, Angela Davis and Josh Burbank; and four great-grandchildren.As noted on their headstone . . . Ray and Ann Carothers - True Love. They are once again together - for all eternity.
