Ann M. Cunningham

Ann M. Cunningham, 93, died Thursday, November 7, 2013 at St. Joseph"s Hospital in Phoenix, AZ. She was born to the late John and Mary Grogan, on May 22, 1920 in New York City, NY. She married the late John W. Cunningham in 1941, and they lived together in NY before relocating to Fredericksburg, VA in 1984. She was a member of St. Mary"s Catholic Church and the Ancient Order of Hibernians. More recently, Ann moved to Gilbert, AZ in 2010. Wherever she went, her kind, sweet spirit touched the lives of those around her. She played the violin, loved to read, take pictures, and made a great Irish Soda Bread. She cared about helping others and was a beautiful lady inside and out. Ann is survived by three sons, John W. Cunningham of Sharpsburg, GA, Kevin M. Cunningham of Newnan, GA, and Daniel P. Cunningham of Gilbert, AZ; two daughters, Ann C. Brothers of Gilbert, AZ, and Mary Masella of San Tan Valley, AZ; six grandchildren, and fourteen great-grandchildren. Funeral will be held Friday, Nov. 15, 10am at St. Anne"s Catholic Church in Gilbert, AZ; arrangements handled by Falconer Funeral Home. Burial will be Monday, Nov. 18, 10am in Fredericksburg, VA at Oak Hill Cemetery, with reception to follow at 11324 Gordon Rd, Fredericksburg, VA.
