Ann Marie Leo
May 26th, 1923 - July 26th, 2024
Ann Leo, age 101 years young, passed away peacefully, in her home, on July 26, 2024 with family and friends at her side. Preceded in death by her husband Al; mother Mary; father James; brothers Tony and Bob; infant baby sister Anna; special friends Angelo, Caroline and Gen. Ann is survived by her son Bob (MaryAnn) and daughter Pati (Darryl); special friends Linda and Fred and sister-in-law Phyllis Sisinni.
At a young age Ann loved life. She played saxophone and Hawaiian guitar in her father's band along with her brothers. Her love for dancing and music and style lasted throughout her life. She put on makeup and lipstick every day. Bling jewelry was a must. Her smile lit up the room and her warmth and humor made life more enjoyable.
After retirement Ann worked at Cub Foods demonstrating until she was 88, when she was diagnosed with ovarian cancer and became a cancer survivor. One year later, when a stroke took away her speech, 13 years ago, it didn't take away her spirit. She found joy in every day, her eyes and expressions spoke volumes.
She was a terrific cook, preparing the Italian dishes passed on for generations. Anyone lucky enough to have enjoyed her cooking knew how much love and care went into those meals.
Her key to living beyond 100-eat M & M's every day, laugh often and do everything your daughter says.
Special thank you to the PCA's that lovingly helped with Ann's care, to Dr. Kuehnmunch who was instrumental in his support of her returning to her home after he stroke and Ramsey County Alternative Care (Mary) that helped make all of this happen.
