Ann Navarro Lucena A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, April 12th at 11 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church for Ann Romero Navarro Lucena. Ann passed away on April 4, 2016 at the age of 103. Ann's family left Seville, Spain for Hilo, Hawaii where she was born on September 29, 1912 to Juan Maria de Jesus Romero Arenill and Concepcion Moreno Escobar. Her family moved to Chico when she was five years old. She is survived by her children Joe (Maggie) Navarro, Connie Pincus, Dan (Linda) Navarro; stepson, Syl (Carol) Lucena, step daughter-in-laws, Laurene Feingold and Barbara Lucena; sister, Josephine Ruggles; grandchildren, Pamela Larson, Stuart Pincus, Tiffany Cooper, Marc, Steve, Matt, John, June, and Bille Lucena, Scott, Rod and Rick Feingold; and 18 great grandchildren. Ann was preceded in death by her first husband Canuto Navarro; brothers, Harold, Chris and John; sisters, Rose, Sempre, Delores and Margaret; second husband, Sal Lucena; granddaughter, Karry Ann Navarro; grandson Michael Navarro; and stepsons, John Lucena and Burton Feingold. Ann was an amazing lady who will definitely be missed. The family thanks the staff at Almond Blossom Assisted Living for the loving care and comfort they gave Ann. Viewing will be held on Monday evening from 5 to 7:00 p.m. at Brusie Funeral Home. Memorial contributions can be made in her memory to a charity of your choice in care of Brusie Funeral Home.
