A Life Tribute Funeral Care - Largo
Ann Marie DeSocio
December 15th, 1943 - December 14th, 2021
Ann Marie DeSocio, age 77, of Largo, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family, on December 14th, 2021. Elvis serenaded her into her final slumber, as she slipped away to be together with the love of her life, Paul, for all eternity. Ann Marie and Paul were both raised in Union City, New Jersey, and met while attending rival high schools. Ann Marie was one of the best dancers at school, and during lunch periods, she was known for frequently winning the dance contests. She was also a talented singer, and loved singing loudly and proudly in the car. Ann Marie was a big fan of the New York Islanders and remained faithful to them her entire life. While Paul was a thriving entrepreneur, Ann Marie was a stay-at-home mom, always keeping the children entertained both at home and at events in the community. Later in life, she was equally as active in the lives of her grandchildren. After moving to Florida, Ann Marie and Paul were both awarded Volunteer of the Year for Pinellas County Schools. They were both recognized by more than one President of the United States for their dedication to volunteering time to students and faculty. Ann Marie loved shopping and supplying everyone with everything they might want or need. She would bring leftover meals to her family as well, as she inherited the family's talented for cooking and baking from her Aunt Ceilia. It was a family tradition to have seven fish for dinner on Christmas Eve, and family gatherings were always a fun time. Ann Marie was recently preceded in death by her husband, Paul, as well as granddaughter Hailey Mullen of Pinellas Park, and brother Frank DePasquale of New Jersey. Ann Marie's daughters find comfort in knowing their Mom, Dad, and Hailey have all been reunited for Christmas this year. She is survived by daughter Lisa (Kevin) Mullen of Pinellas Park; daughter Danielle DeSocio of Largo; grandchildren Paulie and Ricky DeSocio-Ulacia; brother Bruce (Marcia) DePasquale of Georgia; brother James (Sonia) DePasquale of New Jersey; several nieces and nephews; and many cousins. The family will hold a Celebration of Life in Spring 2022, and the details will be posted once they are confirmed. The family suggests doing an act of kindness in lieu of flowers.
