"Granby - Ann K. (Theis) Pennachio, 74, died on June 5, 2012. She was born June 28, 1937 in Scranton, PA, daughter of Walter and Eleanor (Campbell) Theis. Ann worked as a sales clerk fondly known as "Elf Ann", for Hadley Village Barn for 17 years. She was a communicant of Immaculate Heart of Mary Church. Ann was a charter member of PAWS and loved animals, she also enjoyed vacationing in Wells, ME, and Notre Dame and Penn State football. Her greatest love was for her family, her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Michael L. Pennachio in 2001 and a son Michael Pennachio in 1986. She will be deeply missed by three children, Bonnie Smith of W.Chesterfield, Lori Kalinoski of Chelmsford and Mark Pennachio of Leominster. Nani as she was known to them, will also be dearly missed by 9 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren. Her two sisters Marie Viola and Kathleen Rooney and two brothers Robert and Joseph Theis all of PA also survive her. Services will be privately held at the convenience of the family. Beers & Story South Hadley Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements. Donations in her memory may be made to Dakin Pioneer Valley Humane Society, Box 6307, Springfield, MA 01101. "
