Ann King Trull, 86, passed away peacefully on August 2, 2016 at her home in Greensboro, surrounded by her loving family. Funeral services will be held at 2 PM on Friday, August 5 at First Baptist Church with Dr. Steve Pressley officiating, and interment will follow at Lakeview Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Lambeth-Troxler Funeral Home on Thursday, August 4 from 6-8 PM. Ann was born on November 2, 1929 in Greensboro to Dora and Henry King and lived in the Bessemer area as a young girl. She attended Greensboro Senior High School and later Appalachian State Teacher's College where she met the love of her life, "Hack" Trull. They were married 40 years before he passed away, leaving her without a soulmate and dance partner. Mother was a woman of deep faith, and instilled Christian values in all of her five children, 14 grandchildren and 20 great-children. She was very active in the First Baptist Church for 70 plus years, participating in Sunday School, WMU, Mobile Meals, and was a visitation volunteer. Through the years, she enjoyed bowling, bridge, dancing, gardening and family gatherings. Survivors are daughters, Sharon Morgan (Jim), Debbie McKinney, Lisa King (Rick), Laura Shelton (Steve); son, Gary Trull (Linda); grandchildren, Leigh Noble, Meg van Staveren, Cole Morgan, Matt McKinney, Robin Hall, Phil McKinney, Dara McKinney, Jessica Paschal, Lauren Rigby, Ashley Knowles, Amanda Cochran, Kaitlyn Shelton, Clay Shelton, Carson Shelton; and 20 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by sister Margaret King Moore and infant son Phil Trull. The family would like to express their sincerest appreciation to Hospice Nurse Michelle, CNA Krystal and grandson Leigh Noble for their patient and gentle care for our Mom. Memorial contributions may be made to the Christian Assistance Fund at First Baptist Church of Greensboro (1000 West Friendly Avenue, Greensboro, NC 27401), Hospice (2500 Summit Avenue, Greensboro, NC 27405), or Greensboro Urban Ministry (305 West Gate City Blvd., Greensboro, NC 27406).
