Anna Vandermay Danell

Anna Vandermay Danell Anna Vandermay Danell, 88, passed away on September 23, 2012. She was born in Yelm, Washington on November 24, 1923 to Dick and Hilda (Steen) Vandermay. Anna attended schools in Yelm, where she graduated in 1941 from Yelm High School. She was a homemaker, caregiver, and employed by the State of Washington, retiring in 1988. On May 30, 1943, Anna was married in Olympia to Ernest H. Danell of Lacey, Washington. They moved to their residence in Olympia, Washington in 1945, and spent the next 58 years there. In 2003, Anna moved to a care facility, where she resided until her death. Anna is survived by two brothers, Roy Vandermay and John Vandermay; sons, Vernon (Sandi) of Gresham, Oregon and Curtis (Alice) of Olympia; daughter, Virginia of Gresham; grandchildren, Kim (Gil) Fitzpatrick, Scott (Veronica) Danell and Michael Danell; great grandchildren, Cody Fitzpatrick, Samantha Fitzpatrick, Blake Danell and Tyler Danell.
