Anna Jane Marinoff , 90, passed away peacefully Thursday, February 19, 2009, at the Health Center of Merritt Island. Jane was born in Ecorse, Michigan on June 13, 1918. She moved to Florida in 1960 with her husband, George, and started Marinoff Construction in Cocoa Beach. Together they built many homes and condominiums. For a brief time they lived in Ft Walton Beach, Daytona Beach and St. Cloud, Florida building single family residences and a motel. They also traveled summers to New Brunswick, Canada where they developed the community of Ackwa Village on Grand Lake. Jane is survived by her children, son Ed Wittenberg (Eileen) of Canton, Michigan, daughter, Jay Dow (Dave) of Cocoa Beach, Florida; six grandchildren, Bill Wittenberg (Tricia), John Wittenberg (Mary), Joe Wittenberg (Holly), Janet Biery, Rick Biery, and Steven Biery (Tracy) and eight great-grandchildren, Sarah, Rachael, Mitch, Patti, Trent, Jacob, Rebecca and Jonathan. The family wishes to thank the Health Center of Merritt Island for the wonderful care given during the last few months. Private family services will be held at a later date.
