"Belchertown - Anna (Siconolfi) Mitus, 85, of Pine Valley Plantation, passed away on June 12, 2014. She was born May 28, 1929 in Northampton, MA, daughter of the late Sabato and Grace (Mangini) Siconolfi. Anna has lived in Belchertown for over 15 years, and previously lived in Ludlow. In her leisure, she enjoyed trips to the casino, she was an avid knitter, was very active in the Belchertown Senior Citizen Center and served on several committees at Pine Valley Plantation. Anna will be deeply missed by her son, James Mitus and fiance Bonnie of Lanesboro, MA, daughter-in-law Patty Mitus, granddaughters Brianna and Carley of Kansas City, neice Karen Arthur Lowther of CT, nephew Don Arthur of Cape Cod, sister-in-law and close friend Mary Davis, and several nieces and nephews. Anna was preceded in death by her husband Walter T. and sons Walter F. and John E. Mitus, her sister Mary Siconolfi Arthur, and brother James "Vincenzo" Siconolfi. A calling hour will be Wednesday, June 18, 2014 from 3:00 pm - 4:00 pm with a closing prayer service at 4:00 pm at the Beers & Story Belchertown Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations, may be made to Olathe East High School, 14545 West 127 Street, Olathe KS 66062. Memo: Mitus Soccer Scholarship Fund. "
