Anna then went on to study biology and chemistry at Gardner-Webb College. She met her husband, George Shull, in 1967 and then were married in 1968. Anna retired from Wachovia as an executive secretary after 24 years of service. Anna was a lifelong member of Pisgah United Methodist Church. She stayed active in the choir, vacation bible school, and Christmas programs. One of the special projects she spearheaded at the church was Blankets for Cancer at Derrick Davis Cancer Center, to help let patients know they are loved. One of many things she took pride in was her 24 years of service to the Girl Scout Troops at Pisgah United Methodist. She took many road trips with her dear friend Collette. Some of Anna’s greatest joys were crafting, crocheting, camping and spending time with her family. Survivors include, her husband of almost 50 years George Shull; son, Edward “Ed” Shull; granddaughters, Brittany Shull and Alexie Shull; sisters, Mary Catherine Collins and Jerry and Joyce Tadlock and Benny; brother, Colin Swaim; and many extended family and friends. The family would like to extended a gracious thank you to the Nurses and Doctors on the 9Th floor at Novant Forsyth Medical Center, Oncology Ward. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to Pisgah United Methodist Church Choir and/or Childrens Ministry, 2165 Pisgah Church Road, Kernersville, NC 27284. The family will visit with friends following the service in the fellowship hall at the church. Family and friends may sign, and view the guestbook at www.Pierce-JeffersonFuneralService.com
