Annabel Bernice Bauer
September 3rd, 1934 - May 30th, 2014
Bauer, Annabel B., 79 former resident of Sun City Center, FL and recent resident of Arden Court Carrollwood, Fla passed away May 30, 2014. She was a member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church in Sun City Center, Fla and Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Mondovi, WI. Ms. Bauer earned a Bachelor's of Science in Nursing from the College of St Scholastica in Duluth, MN, and a Master of Science in Nursing from Washington University in St Louis, MO and her Doctorate in Nursing Education from Oregon State University in Corvallis, OR. Ms. Bauer retired from the United States Army with the rank of Colonel in 1991. Ms. Bauer continued her career as Dean of Health Occupations at Chippewa Valley Technical College in Eau Claire, WI Annabel spent 6 years in Malawi, Africa as part of a team of health educators from around the world funded by the U.S. World Bank, whose purpose was to establish educational programs for medical and health occupations in Africa. She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Bernice Bauer, her sister in laws, Mary Jane Bauer and Nancy Bauer and by her brother in law, Richard Smith. Survivors include her two brothers, Walter Bauer and Robert Bauer and his wife, Joanne, her sister, LaVon Smith and nieces and nephews. She will be missed by her relatives, friends and her faithful canine companion, Buddy. Funeral Mass and burial with military honors will be in Mondovi, WI at a later date.
