Anne C. Andersen nee Costabile, 89, late of Gilbert, AZ, formerly of Dolton, IL and Chicago, IL passed away peacefully Wednesday, April 6, 2022. She is preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Donald W. Andersen. Anne was the loving mother of Donna (Scott) Wesley of Queen Creek, AZ and Christine (Jeff) Pawlowski of Gilbert, AZ. She was the cherished grandmother of Kristen (Brent) Lavoie of Newport Beach, CA, Karyn Wesley of Tucson, AZ, Jake (Leah Walk) Pawlowski of Gilbert, AZ, Jenna Pawlowski and Hannah Pawlowski both of Gilbert, AZ. Anne is survived by her dear brother, John Costabile of Orland Hills, IL, as well as many loved nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews. She is joined in the presence of Jesus with her parents Giovanni and Lucia Costabile, along with her sweet sisters, Helen Orlando, Aida Accetturo and Julie Brija. Anne and her husband lived in Dolton, IL for 32 years before retiring to Gilbert, AZ in 1996. Prior to retirement, Anne worked as an attendance clerk for many years at Thornridge High School in Dolton. Affectionately known to many as "Nami" and as the "cool grandma," Anne loved spending time with her grandchildren and going to restaurants with her family. She enjoyed the casinos with friends, dancing, listening to Tony Bennett songs, watching ice skating competitions, Dancing with the Stars, and the Arizona Diamondbacks baseball games. Anne"s beautiful smile, genuine sense of humor, and deep love for her family will always be remembered. There will be a small service for immediate family members only at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona in Phoenix, AZ. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be sent to the Alzheimer"s Association.
