Anne D. Beyers, of Waukesha passed away on Sept. 7, 2014, surrounded by her family, at the age of 72. Anne was born in Marquette, MI, on April 16, 1942, the daughter of Foster and Lila (nee Daley) Beyers. She was a graduate from Northern Michigan University and received her Master's Degree from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Anne remained politically active throughout her life, participated in many volunteer opportunities and was honored to help her community by founding The Women's Center in Waukesha with four of her very close friends. She enjoyed spending her free time at her cottage in Eagle Harbor, MI, where she was surrounded by life-long friends and family. Most of all, Anne loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Anne will be deeply missed by her children, David (Karin) Houston of Waukesha and Jennifer (Nicole Branagh) Houston of Hawthorne, CA; her grandchildren, Tegan Branagh - Houston, Bode, Buck and Liam Houston; her sisters, Nancy Lee (John)Wakeman and Mary Beyers; her brother, James (Peg) Beyers and many other relatives and friends. Anne is preceded in death by her parents. Private family services will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Anne's honor are appreciated to the AstraZeneca Hope Lodge Center, 125 S. Huntington Ave, Boston, MA 02130.
