Memorial

Anne Waddington, age 97, a native Washingtonian but long-time Florida resident, passed away quietly on April 1, 2012, Palm Sunday, after a brief illness. She was a civil service retiree. "Grannie Annie", as she was affectionately known, had a wonderful sense of humor, a quick wit, and a deep love of travel. Anne traveled extensively in Europe, as well as the Middle East and Asia, and also served with the Peace Corps. Her adventures and memories were shared with delight with all of her friends and family. One very special memory was that of her personal invitation and visit with President Harry Truman in the Oval Office. Anne is survived by her loving daughter and son-in-law, DeLoras and Bill Lansdon; grandchildren, Debra Wells (husband, Kevin), Shelia Moser, and Robert "Chip" Bouwens; great-grandchildren, Jonathan Moser, Paul Wells, Christopher Wells (wife, Kris), Stephanie McClaverty (husband, Joseph), Candace Bouwens, Kalie Bouwens, Caanan Bouwens, and Shaun Bouwens (wife, Anna); and great, great-grandchildren, Kora Anne Wells, Yogi Wells and Tyler Bouwens. Anne was especially close to nieces, Tony Lynn, Kelly, Kim, and Karen -- her "California girls" -- and to nephew, Ward. Anne will be greatly missed by her extensive family and friends. A private service with her immediate family will be held at a later date. Arrangements by FAMILY owned and operated Atlantic Mortuary & Cremation Service, Rockledge.
