Wilsey, Anne R. "Nancy", 66, of St. Petersburg, died Friday, February 25, 2011, at 1630 - 2nd Street North. Born in Boston, MA, she came here in 1974 from Ft. Lauderdale. She was a graduate of St. Thomas Aquinas High School in Ft. Lauderdale. She served as a foster parent for children in need for 37 years. She was Roman Catholic and a member of St. Paul's Catholic Church. Nancy was very involved in a variety of organizations including as a foster parent for Catholic Social Services, the Children's Home Society Adoption Services, the Child Protective Team and Help-A-Child. Her life's purpose was caring for children and she touched the lives of over 500 children through her love and support. She also served as President of the Woodlawn Little League in the 1970's. She served on the Ethics Committee at All Children's Hospital where she actively participated in care of foster children with medical needs. An avid reader, she passed her love for books onto her children and grandchildren. Her heart and home were always open and all who entered were made to feel like family. She was preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth George and Frances Marie Richardson as well as her cousin, Kevin Kelly of Canton, MA. Nancy is survived by her husband,Michael J. Wilsey; her daughter, Lori Anne Wilsey, Zephyrhills, FL; her daughter & son-in-law, Marybeth J. and Todd M. Langel, St. Petersburg, FL; her son & daughter-in-law, Dr. Michael J. and Adriana G. Wilsey, Jr., Tampa, FL; her daughter & son-in-law, Amy L. and William T. Henshilwood, Tampa, FL; and her son, Joshua D. Wilsey, St. Petersburg, FL. She is also survived by her brother, David J. Richardson, Plantation , FL; mother-in-law, Olga M. Swender, St. Petersburg, FL; two sisters-in-law, Christina W. Brown, Boynton Beach, FL and Diane Richardson, Plantation, FL; and a brother-in-law, Herbert L. Brown, III, Boynton Beach, FL. Nancy is survived by five grandsons: David M. Wilsey, Zephyrhills, FL; Matthew Dudley, Zephyrhills, FL; Todd M. "TJ" Langel, Jr., St. Petersburg, FL; Alexander D. Wilsey, Tampa, FL; Christopher M. Key, Fort Hood, TX. She is also survived by seven granddaughters: Cortney Wilsey nee Raulerson, Zephyrhills, FL; Nicole L. Dudley, Dubois, PA; Taylor M. Langel, St. Petersburg, FL; Christina F. Wilsey, Tampa, FL; Jessica O. Wilsey, Tampa, FL; Kayla E. Henshilwood, Tampa, FL; and Kiarhiana Wilsey, St. Petersburg, FL. Nancy is survived by a great granddaughter, Avery Wilsey, Zephyrhills, FL and two great grandsons, Brayden Wilsey, Zephyrhills, FL and Kameron N. Schuckers, Dubois, PA. Additionally, she is survivored by heraunt, Kathleen Kelly and three cousins, Patricia Kelly, Mark Kelly and Brian Kelly, all of Canton, MA; three newphews, Herbert L. "Les" Brown, IV, Syracuse, NY, Dean Richardson and Drew Richardson, both of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; and a niece, Denise Aloma, Davie, FL. There will be a Public Visitation from 6-8PM on Tuesday, March 1, 2011 at Anderson-McQueen (NESP) - Heritage Hall, 2201-Dr. M.L. King Street North, St. Petersburg. A Memorial Service will be held at 6PM on Thursday, March 3, 2011 at Lutheran Church of the Cross. In lieu of flowers, family preferes donations to the Florida State Elks Association's Harry Anna Trust Fund, P.O. Box 49, Umatilla, FL 32784-0049
