Annie Cook

Annie, 82 years, went to be with the Lord Thursday, January 21. Born in Bath Springs, TN, and resided in Anniston, AL. for most of her life where she raised her family. She is survived by sons, Dennis Cook of Carrollton, Georgia, Steve Cook of Anniston and daughters, Deborah Lauman of Clearwater, Florida and Teresa Harper of Brierfield, Alabama, as well as her sisters, Jo Ethel Franklin of Palm Beach Florida and Carolyn Manoogian of Watertown, Massachusetts. Gerrie was blessed with twelve grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. She was a devoted and loving wife to George Cook (deceased). Among the many accomplishments, she was an Ordained Minister, the Director of the Ladies' Health Club at the YMCA and former teacher of ceramics. She also worked many years as a surgical receptionist at N.E. Regional Medical Center. Prior to retirement Gerrie served as the CEO of her husband's company, Kinetic Rehab. Most of all she was a loving and devoted mother to her four children. She always enjoyed reading, especially the Bible. Gerrie loved traveling with her husband George. She treasured her trips to Israel, visiting places where Jesus walked. She loved the Lord with all her heart, and was a great joy to be around. She brought joy of the Lord wherever she went. Whenever asked how she was, her response was always, "Blessed". Gerrie will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
