Annie Ruth Glenn Goodwin CAYCE—Funeral services for Annie Ruth Glenn Goodwin, 94, of Cayce, will be held at 3 p.m. Friday, October 14, 2011 at Cayce United Methodist Church. Officiating will be Rev. Michael Henderson and Rev. Susan Culler. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Mike Brickle, Troy Goodwin, Kenny Goodwin, Kurt Woodruff and Frank Barton. Honorary pallbearers will be the Lydia Bible Class of Cayce United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends from 1-2:30 p.m. Friday prior to the service at the church. Thompson Funeral Home of West Columbia is assisting the family. Mrs. Goodwin, widow of Stanley L. Goodwin, passed away on Tuesday, October 11, 2011. Born in West Columbia, she was the daughter of the late David Alfred Glenn and Ida Jeanette Knight Glenn. She was a member of Cayce United Methodist Church, was a lifetime member of the United Methodist Women and an officer of Lydia Bible Class at Cayce United Methodist Church. She was an honor graduate of Columbia High School and attended the University of South Carolina. She was a former employee of the Ellison Insurance Agency for 21 years and a charter member of the Columbia Association of Insurance Women. Surviving Mrs. Goodwin are her daughter, Beth Barton (Lee) of Lexington; grandchildren, Jamie Barton and Kara Barton, and many nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the nurses and aides of Lexington Medical Center Extended Care for the loving care of Mrs. Goodwin. Memorials may be made in Mrs. Goodwin's honor to Cayce United Methodist Church, 1600 12th Street, Cayce, SC 29033.
