Rogersville- Annie Skelton Richards, 91, of Rogersville, passed away peacefully on Monday (November 16th, 2015) in her sleep. She was a lifelong resident of Hawkins County. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Carl Richards; a daughter, Polly Ann Hatley and husband, June; sisters, Goldie Richards, Rosa Cradic-Gilliam; brother, Andy Skelton along with several nieces, nephews, and one great niece. Annie Richards is survived by her daughter, Carrie Brown and husband, Danny (Rogersville, TN); grandsons, Tony Hatley and wife, Deb (Rogersville), Donnie Brown and wife, Tonya (Kingsport, TN); Jeffery and Rondie Brown (Church Hill, TN); granddaughters, Melissa Adcock and husband, Dewayne (Surgoinsville, TN); Michelle Brown and Doug (Rogersville, TN); great grandsons, Alan Hatley, Marcus Laster, Dylan Brown, Ethan Brown, and Ethan Adcock; great granddaughters, Jessica Bailey, Ashley Brown, Tina Hatley, Jennifer Hatley; Kira Brown; great-great grandson, Brantly Greer; great-great granddaughters, Autumn Laster, Gracie Brown, Riley Hatley, Alexis Hatley, and Grace Adcock. A special thank you goes out to Amedisys Home Health Care, all the nurses, especially Lynn Allen. A visitation will be held on Thursday (November 19, 2015) from 12:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Carter-Trent Funeral Home, Church Hill or friends may also call anytime at the residence of the daughter, Carrie. A graveside service will follow the visitation at Elm Springs United Methodist Church Cemetery with Rev. Tom Lawson and Rev. Jeff Wallace officiating. Dylan Brown, Ethan Brown, Ethan Adcock, Adam Greer, and Jeremy Bailey will serve as pallbearers. Carter-Trent Funeral Home, Church Hill is serving the Richards family.
