Anthony "Vic" Victor Alexander

Anthony V. Alexander, 63, of Charlotte, passed away Thursday, July 6, 2023. He was born March 16, 1960, in Winston Salem, NC, and is preceded in death by his mother, Delores Ann Harris, Aunt Linda Barringer, and cousins Jeffrey Tise and Jennifer Tise. He is survived by his father, Tony Alexander; stepmother Keith Ann Alexander, brother Jimmy Alexander; sisters Laura Hensel and Rachel Larkin; son Drew Alexander; and daughter Ashley Alexander. Vic graduated from Garinger High School in 1978. He was a mechanical engineer. Throughout the years working at Cole Manufacturing, FabTech, Ramsey Products, and eventually retiring with Assa Abloy, Vic loved his work and would spend many nights drawing in his CAD programs. He loved what he did and, of course, provided some comedic relief along the way. Beyond work, Vic loved talking with his children, reading, tinkering with his computer, listening to jazz, and building an ever-closer relationship with God. Vic's wit, sense of humor, and heart made him a memorable character to all he crossed paths with. Vic was an amazing, genuine, and one-of-a-kind person that was loved by all and will be missed dearly. A memorial service to celebrate Vic's life will be held at 1:00 pm, Saturday, July 22, 2023, in the chapel of Tribute & Tallent Funerals & Cremations, 1937 N Sharon Amity Rd in Charlotte, with the Rev. Frances Beam officiating. The family will greet friends from 12:00pm -1:00pm prior to the service.
