Anthony "Tony" Scott Brost
September 7th, 1970 - August 27th, 2019
Obituary Tony Brost, 48, died on August 27, 2019 at his home in Fort Collins from natural causes. Tony was born September 7, 1970 in Englewood, Colorado to Ron and Jeanne (Jean) Brost. While his younger years were spent in Englewood, he moved to LaPorte, Colorado with his family in 1980. Tony attended Poudre High School and graduated from Centennial High School in 1989. While working at Verns in LaPorte, he met the love of his life, Julie Burgess and they were married in Las Vegas, Nevada in 1995. Together they owned and operated a sports card shop in LaPorte, the Celestica cafeteria, and a vending machine business. Later on, Tony took his skills and became a truck mechanic with Burgener Trucking where he worked until his death. Growing up, Tony loved the outdoors, camping, boating, and fishing with his family and friends. Tony was also a mopar man, restoring his Charger and his Road-Runner with his dad, brother and friends.Tony was an avid and competitive pool player, playing in leagues and tournaments. He was very artistic and loved drawing. His daughter, Danisa and him had a passion for astrology looking at the moon and stars through the telescope. Tony's proudest moments was his joy of watching his son, Austin play baseball. Tony was preceded in death by his wife Julie (died in 2010) and his father, Ron (died in 1993). Survivors include his son and daughter Austin and Danisa Brost, both of Fort Collins, mother Jean Brost, brother Kenny Brost and his wife Shannon and nephew Cayden Brost of Windsor and his extended family of aunts, uncles and cousins. A memorial service to celebrate Tony's life will be held on Saturday, September 7, 2019 at 10 am, at the Windsong Estate at Bridle Hill, 2901 Saddler Blvd, Fort Collins 80524 (E Hwy 14 and Hwy 257). Pastor Jon Willhite will officiate. In lieu of flowers - donations can be sent to Vessey Funeral Service.
