Anthony C. Crisafulli
March 15th, 1915 - November 3rd, 2002
" Belchertown- Anthony C. Crisafulli, 87, of 290 Federal St., died Nov. 3, 2002 in Meadowood Nursing Home in S. Hadley. Born in New York, New York on Mar. 15, 1915, he moved to Belchertown in 1946. Since moving to New England he was employed over the years with the Belchertown State School Farm operation, Wilco Screw Machine, Quabbin Industries and Precise Industries. Following his retirement from Precise Industries in 1985, he worked for Hulmes Transportation Services for several years, driving first for handicapped children and then for seniors. He also delivered Meals on Wheels for Belchertown Senior Services. He was well known in town for his many town-related activities. A long time member of the Belchertown Lions Club, he was a recipient of The Melvin Jones Fellowship Award and lifetime member. Also a member of the Republican Committee & town meeting representative. His beloved wife of 64 years, Jessie (Cordaro) Crisafulli, predeceased him in June 2001. He is survived by his daughters, Ann Crisafulli and her partner Nancy Pochan of Lemoin, ME, Linda King and her husband Samuel King of Dedham, MA and Frances Crisafulli and her husband Frank Lucchesi, three grandchildren Michael, Erik and Katrina Meyer, and a sister Concetta Tromantano of Bronx, NY. A Memorial service will be held on Saturday at 3:00pm in the Beers & Story Belchertown Funeral Home in memory of both Anthony & Jessie Crisafulli. Calling hours are Sat. From 1-3:00 pm. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions are gratefully appreciated to go to the Massachusetts Lions Eye Research Fund, Inc. PDG William T. Murphy, Treasurer,P.O. Box 6050, New Bedford, MA 02742-6050 or to the Arthritis Foundation 29 Crafts St., Newton, MA 02458. "
