Anthony D. D'Angelo
February 3rd, 1946 - July 24th, 2012
Anthony D. D'Angelo, 66, of Van Wagenen Drive, Fultonville passed away on Tuesday evening at St. Mary's Hospital, Amsterdam with his loving family at his bedside. Born February 3, 1946 in Cohoes, NY, he was the son of the late Daniel J. and Frances Marciano D'Angelo. Tony was a graduate of the North Colonie High School and lived in Caroga Lake and in Scotia for several years before moving to Fultonville in 2007. He owned and operated the disco club called Night Fever in Schenectady for many years and was also employed as a Boilermaker for West Milton until retiring in 2002. Tony was a member of the Boilermaker Union #197 in Albany, NY. Tony loved people and had a loving spirit and once you met him, you never forgot him. He enjoyed fishing and going to the casinos. He also enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and at his winter home in New Smyrna Beach, Florida. On December 14, 1991 he married the former Janice Korniak. In addition to his wife of 31 years, he is survived by two daughters; Erin Musto John C of Scotia, NY and Naomi Korniak of Saratoga Springs, NY; two sons, Daniel D'Angelo of Rensselaer, NY and Anthony W. D'Angelo of Schenectady, NY; one brother, John D'Angelo of Colonie, NY; two sisters, Emma Wilson of Menands, NY, Joan Quagliaroli of Port Orange, FL; five grandchildren, Daniel, Marissa, Michael, Anthony and Zachary, several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister, Lucretia Paganelli who passed away last month. A Funeral Mass will take place at the convenience of the family at St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church, East Main Street, Amsterdam. Cremation has taken place at Vale Cemetery Crematorium, Schenectady. There will be no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Tony's memory to the Esophageal Cancer Action Network or to the Animal Protective Foundation, both in care of the funeral home.
