Anthony Giammarino
July 19th, 1953 - March 15th, 2024
On Friday March 15, 2024 at 2:14pm our most beloved Anthony Giammarino was called home to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He was born on a Summer Sunday July 19th, 1953 at United Hospital in Port Chester, NY. Anthony was raised on Eldredge Street and went through the Port Chester School system & BOCES, graduating Port Chester High School in 1971, then graduated from Apex Technical school. He then got a job with York Air Conditioning in NYC. Anthony was born to Carmin and Jennie (Lovallo) Giammarino 3 years after his sister Joan (Giammarino) Carriero. They lived in a four family house surrounded by family. Family always comes first. He was raised to be caring, supportive, helpful, loyal and loving, which he carried with him all his life. At 16 years old he met his soul mate Antoinette (Giandurco) Giammarino, they married on July 27th, 1974 and on April 20th, 1978 they welcomed their blessing and his new best friend Jessica (Giammarino) Hagan. Giams grew up loving sports. His favorite teams were the NY Mets, Green Bay Packers and the NY Jets. He played softball as well as coached women’s softball, was part of a bowling league with many family members and friends. Anthony had a huge heart and loved helping people so he joined the Port Chester/Rye Volunteer Ambulance Corps. The 3 G’s and dog Duke moved to Arizona in 1993, here with a huge heart he and his wife opened their home to anyone who needed it. He picked up playing golf and enjoyed his time on the green. In 2015 one of his dreams came true when he walked his daughter down the isle, then his biggest dream came true in 2016 when his namesake (grandson) was born. He is preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents, mother Jennie (Lovallo) Giammarino, father Carmin Giammarino, father in law Dominic Giandurco, mother in law Carmella (Gagaliardi) Giandurco & many other beloved family members. Anthony will live on through his wife, Antoinette (Giandurco) Giammarino, Daughter Jessica (Giammarino) Hagan (Sean), grandson Anthony Hagan, Sister Joan (Giammarino) Carriero (Vito), Nephew Chris Carriero, Niece Jennifer Carriero Dominguez (Rob) great nieces Jane Dominguez, Gwen Dominguez and Zoey Carriero. Brother in laws Joseph Giandurco (Alice), Daniel Giandurco (Cathy). Nephews Danny Giandurco, Joe Giandurco (Shannon) & Michael Giandurco (Jennifer), Nieces Melissa Giandurco & Gina Giandurco. Great niece Emily Rose Giandurco, Great Nephews Mason and Henry Giandurco. In-laws Mike, Peggy, Ali Hagan, Stacey and Matthew Hendrickson, several other special family members, friends and loved ones. Also predeceased by his “Fellow Packer Fan” and “Confirmation Godfather” Angelo (Junior) Lovallo, and is survived by his canine best friend Nitschke. He will also be lived on through special kiddos who called him Papa, Serena and Jacob Martinez and Nevaeh FIsher.
