McCoy, Anthony Preston, 80, of St. Petersburg, died January 31, 2023. Tony was born February 27, 1942 in Brooklyn, NY. Graduated from Blair Academy, 1960; Coe College, BA 1964; and University of Maine, MBA 1968. He was a Captain in the US Air Force, serving in Bangor, ME 1964-1968. He was an elder at First Presbyterian Church, past president of St. Petersburg Bicycle Club, past president of Pinellas Trails, Inc., member of Seminole Chamber of Commerce, member St. Petersburg Yacht Club, member St. Petersburg Sailing Center, member of track team and Phi Kappa Tau at Coe College. His career was as a Franchise Owner of 3 UPS Stores and a Marketing & Advertising executive in the Banking Industry. Tony was dedicated to his family and friends, cycling, sailing, the Tampa Bay Rays, his 20 years of volunteer work with St. Pete Free Clinic, and mentoring small business entrepreneurs. He is survived by his wife, Virginia (Ginger) Harrison McCoy, son Michael McCoy, daughter Michele McCoy Bochert, son-in-law Brian Bochert, stepson Rusty Eckert, stepdaughter Ginger Eckert Aloisio, son-in-law Brian Aloisio, and grandchildren Vivienne Pearl and Wren. Memorial Service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, February 9 at First Presbyterian Church, St. Pete, with reception to follow at the church, 701 Beach Dr NE, St. Petersburg, FL 33701.
