Anthony Paul Petsche
February 4th, 1959 - May 26th, 2024
Anthony “Tony” Paul Petsche was born to Lavern and Billie (Ross) Petsche in Sacramento, CA, February 4, 1959. He was the third of nine children and baptized at St. Roses Catholic Parish in Sacramento. In 1960 the family moved to Harlan, Iowa. Tony attended St. Michaels Catholic School and Harlan Community Schools. As a boy he enjoyed playing with his siblings, cousins and friends and was an active member of the Boy Scouts of America. He received the Boy Scouts Ad Altari Dei (God and Country) award in 1971. While attending school, he enjoyed sports, woodshop, and art class. Throughout his life, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and riding motorcycles.
Tony’s adventurous lifestyle led him to California as a young man where he held many different jobs. He eventually moved to Boise, Idaho to join his other siblings. He worked as an HVAC Journeymen for several years until becoming disabled due to a workplace injury. Tony was married for a short time to his friend, Karen. Tony always enjoyed spending time with his friends and family, especially the many family dinners, picnics, and holiday celebrations. Although Tony had many struggles throughout his life, he had a heart of gold and was so giving to those he loved and anyone in need. He also loved animals, especially the dogs he had over the years.
Tony was diagnosed with cancer in October of 2023. His health steadily declined, and he passed away in his sleep on May 26, 2024. He was preceded in death by his father, Lavern Petsche; brother, Randy Petsche, and grandparents. Survivors include his mother, Billie Petsche, Meridian, ID; brothers: Tim (Lisa), Meridian ID; David (Tammy), Meridian, ID and sisters: Kim Tiernan (Larry), Boise, ID; Shari Boyle, Boise, ID; Jackie Grote (Allan), Boise, ID; Jeanne Petsche (Jose Gomez Elegido), Renton, WA; and Angie Gaul (Kerry), Meridian, ID and many nieces and nephews that loved him dearly.
A graveside service will be held at Dry Creek Cemetery on June 4th at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed in his name to the Idaho Humane Society. Donations can be mailed to 1300 S Bird St, Boise, ID 83709 or online at idahohumanesociety.org.

Accent Funeral Home
A local landmark in Meridian, Accent Funeral Home has been serving the community since 1986. The business was first established with a vision to offer services in a comfortable, homelike atmosphere. This vision is reflected in our building, a Tudor-style home built in 1938 for a local postman. When remodeling the house to accommodate the funeral home, much care was taken to preserve the original architectural integrity of the building. The Accent Funeral Home holds a special relationship with the Meridian community and is sensitive to the area’s changing needs, providing service and friendship to comfort those we serve....
