Anthony A. Ricardi

"Belchertown- Anthony A. Ricardi, 54, of Mill Valley Rd. passed away July 3, 2008 at home with his family by his side. Born in Holyoke on May 22, 1954, he was the son of the late Nello and Anita (Theroux) Ricardi of Chicopee. Tony has lived in Belchertown for the past 10 years, previously living in the house he built in Shutesbury with his children and former wife. Being self-employed as a builder, Tony also enjoyed carpentry and cabinetry along with riding and working on his motorcycle, 69 Chevelle and boating in Lake Wyola. He was captain of the Anita Barbara and formerly the head of the Disability Commission in Shutesbury. Tony will be greatly missed by his mother, along with his loving wife of 8 years, Laurie (Lamoureux), his children Angela Duga and her husband Todd of Wendell, Anthony P. Ricardi of Belchertown, Timothy Carriveau and his wife Melissa of Chicopee, Tamara Bedford and her husband Lance of Springfield and recently adopted daughters Cianalyn and Tavialea Ricardi of Belchertown. Tony also leaves siblings Paul and his wife Nancy of Springfield, Rita Croisitiere and her husband Donald of Chicopee, Elaine Moore and her husband John of Springfield, Theresa Ricardi, Richard Ricardi both of Chicopee, Nicholas Ricardi of Gardiner, Montana, and William Ricardi of Chicopee along with grandchildren Jordan, Mason and Taryn Carriveau and Lance Bedford, Jr. Tony is also survived by his father-in-law Alfred Lamoureux of Chicopee, and in-laws Richard Lamoureux and his wife Donna of FL, Ellen Bussman and her husband Tony of CT, Patty Ortiz and her husband Pedro of Holyoke and Judy Mancini of NY along with nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews along with extended family and friends. He was predeceased by his father and sister Tita Ricardi. Visitation will be held Sunday from 2:00-5:00 p.m. at the Beers & Story Belchertown Funeral Home. Friends and family may gather Monday at 9:15 a.m. at the funeral home to process to St. Francis Church for a 10:00 a.m. mass of Christian burial. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Tony Ricardi Benefit c/o Timothy Carriveau, Aldenville Credit Union, Grattan St., Chicopee, MA 01020 or to an educational fund that will be established to benefit his daughters. "
