Anthony Tascillo
December 12th, 1926 - April 5th, 2017
Mr. Anthony Tascillo, age 90, of Gloversville, died April 5, 2017 at Nathan Littauer Hospital Nursing Home, Gloversville. He was born December 12, 1926 in Italy, the son of Andrew and Angeline Palumbo Tascillo. He served in the US Army during World War II and was later employed by the Gloversville Enlarged School District where he retired as Superintendent of Buildings and Grounds following many years of service. Tony was a member of the Church of the Holy Spirit, Gloversville. On June 16, 1962 he was married to Marjorie M. Moore, who died on March 8, 2004. Survivors include a son, Mark Tascillo and his wife Katie, and a grandson, Darren Tascillo, all of Canton, Michigan. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Tony was predeceased by all six of his siblings: Viola Tascillo, Rose Piazza, Elizabeth Malagisi, Lucy Ferrara, Mary Sirtoli and Salvatore Tascillo. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place 10:00a.m Saturday, April 22, 2017 at the Church of the Holy Spirit, 151 S. Main St; Gloversville, with the Rev. Donald Czelusnaik as celebrant. Interment will follow at Mount Carmel Cemetery, Johnstown. Memorial contributions may be made in lieu of flowers to the Nathan Littauer Hospital, 99 E. State St; Gloversville, NY 12078. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home.
