Anthony S. Valente

February 7th, 1935 - August 31st, 2024

Anthony S. Valente Jr. of Stony Point, NY died on August 31, 2024 in the comforts of his home.  He was born on February 7, 1935 in the Bronx to the late Anthony and Jennie Valente.  He was an avid driver; he drove ten wheel dump trucks, large Shortline buses and also drove for Meals on Wheels.  Tony enjoyed fishing, hunting and time with his family, especially his grandchildren.   

 

Beloved husband of the late Helen Valente, Tony is survived by his two adored sons, Michael (Lucy) and Glen (Elsa) of New City, NY., his six cherished grandchildren and two great grandchildren, his younger sister and nieces.

 

Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 5, 2024 from 3pm-7pm at TJ McGowan Sons Funeral Home in Garnerville, NY. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, September 6, 2024, 11am at St. Gregory Barbarigo Church in Garnerville, followed by interment at Fred Loescher Veterans Cemetery, Spring Valley, NY. 

 

In lieu of flowers, we are asking donations to The Alzheimer’s Association.
