June 13th, 1921 - April 13th, 2011
Mama Tona, 89, of San Francisco del Rincon, Guanajuato, Mexico, passed away Wednesday, April 13, 2011 in her home in Salinas, CA, surrounded by her loving family. Mama Tona was happily married for 72 years to Papa Lupe. She was the mother of fourteen wonderful children, fifty-seven grandchildren, and many great and great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ramon and Juanita Meza;her son, Guadalupe and daughters, Catalina and Cristina. She is survived by her loving husband, J. Guadalupe Lopez; siblings, “Nina” and Felipe Meza; her children, Antonia, Dario, Teresa, Ma. Luisa, Juanita, Francisco, Maggie, Jaime, Rafael, J.Jesus, J.Daniel and many loving family members. “Te extranamos, Mama Tona…you will always be in our hearts.” Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 17, 2011 1-9pm with a Rosary Recital at 7pm all at Healey Mortuary 405 N. Sanborn Rd. Salinas, CA 93905. Funeral Mass will take place on Monday, April 18, 2011 11am at Cristo Rey Catholic Church 240 Calle Cebu St. Salinas, CA 93901. Burial to follow at Garden of Memories Cemetery 850 Abbott St. Salinas, CA 93901.

Healey hoped to find a way to continue to meaningfully help his county and community grow. He and his wife founded Salinas Valley Mortuary in 1956 to help serve the families in the Salinas Valley area. Their lifelong mission was to unselfishly serve area families based on their strong, trusting relationship with their community – something we honor to this day almost seven decades years later....
