Antonia "Toni" M. Wahlers
July 18th, 1940 - October 24th, 2019
"Palmer- Antonia Marie "Toni" Wahlers, 79, passed away October 24, 2019. She was born on June 18, 1940 in Springfield, MA. to the late Vera (Temechenko) and Carl M. Kendall, Jr.. A long time resident, Toni moved to Palmer from Monson in 1967. She was a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Parish in Palmer. Before retiring, Toni worked in transportation as a school bus driver and terminal manager for 46 years. Although she worked for many busing company during those years, she was most recently employed at McCarthy's Bus in Brimfield. Toni loved to travel, craft, paint, and woodwork; hand-carving her beautiful kitchen cabinets on her own. She most loved her time with her family and friends, especially her Sisters Weekends. Besides her parents, Toni was predeceased by her loving husband, Richard H. Wahlers, Sr. in 2018. Toni will be dearly missed by her four children, Pamela Keith of Palmer, Michael Wahlers of FL, Ronald Wahlers of Worcester and Richard Wahlers of Warren. She also leaves two sisters, Barbara Miles of Brimfield and Karen Chudy of Palmer. Sister in laws Kathleen Martell of Pelham, Maureen "Reeny" Genholt of Monson, Dory Hennihan of Monson, Colleen Berry of Monson and Arleen Herlihy of Pelham, also her Mother in law and dear friend Adeline "Addie" Herlihy of Pelham. She will be missed by 13 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be held Wednesday October 30, 2019 4:00-7:00 P.M. at Beers & Story Palmer Funeral Home. Friends and family will meet at St. Thomas the Apostle Parish in Palmer on Thursday October 31, 2019 for a Funeral Mass at 10:30 A.M.. Burial will follow at St. Thomas Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Toni's name can be made to Baystate VNA and Hospice."
