Antonio "Tony" C. Concepcion

Antonio "Tony" Concepcion, age 53, passed away on December 3, 2019 at his home in Hudson, FL. After five courageous years battling cancer, he departed this world surrounded by his loving and supportive family. Tony was born on August 5, 1966 in Manila, Philippines. He served eight years in the United States Air Force, being stationed both stateside and overseas. After retiring, he worked as a civil servant for the Veterans' Administration and the Department of Defense for another 12 years; in total, he gave 20 years of honorable service to this nation. Tony was a patriot and loved his country, and he actively advocated for veterans' rights. In addition, he frequently donated to veterans' organizations, to further support his brothers and sisters in arms. More than anything, however, Tony loved his family. He will be dearly missed by his wife, Ielen, as well as his father, two sisters, brother, and three nieces. Tony was predeceased by his mother, who passed in April of 2015. A Gathering of Family & Friends will be held on Friday, December 13, 2019 from 11am-12pm, with Tony's Memorial Service immediately following. Funeral events will take place at Anderson-McQueen Funeral Home (7820 38th Ave N, St. Petersburg, FL 33710). A Committal Service with military honors will take place at 1:30pm at Bay Pines National Cemetery.
