Antonio "Tonce" DuBois

Graveside services for Antonio (Tonce) DuBois, 49, will be at 10:30 AM Thursday, May 7, 2020 at the City Cemetery in Gallup, NM. Antonio died on April 29, 2020 in Santa Fe, NM. He was born in Gallup, NM on October 18, 1970. Tonce had a passion for art and was well known as a tattoo artist. As people became aware of his death many have shared stories of the tattoos he gave, all which were very enjoyable. Tonce was adored for his kindness, exuberant personality, and quirky conversations. His comical conduct held him the center of attention. Tonce did not suffer from a shortage of love as he came from a large family and life-long friends. He often gave nicknames to those closest to him. Tonce had special connections with numerous people around town and was always giving to others in need even when he was left with none. He was a kindhearted person who often offered up his place to homeless for a night's stay. Survivors include sons Antonio DuBois, Alfredo DuBois, and daughter Sara Magdalen Sandoval; brothers Robert Gallegos, Alfredo DuBois of Durham, NC; sisters Bernadette DuBois-Munoz of Santa Fe, NM, and Nicki Roach of Los Cruces, NM. Antonio was preceded in death by his parents, Horacio DuBois and Susan Gallegos-Madey, as well as John Sandoval, brother Joseph Nanez, and sister Mercedes Dalton. Tonce will be deeply missed by family and friends, rest in peace Tonce, rest in peace.
