Antonio G. Romero, age 70, died peacefully on October 13, 2018, after a battle with cancer. Antonio was a Vietnam War Veteran and retired from a long career as a trucker. He enjoyed spending time with his family and his outings to the Casino with his wife, Antoinette. He is survived by his wife, Antoinette, of 27 years; his son, Antonio, Jr.; his grandchildren, Elena, Jake, and Emilio; his great-grandchildren, Amaiah, Cruz, and Eva; his brothers, Rosalio and wife Dolores, Bernardo; and sister, Grace Romero and many nephews and nieces. Antonio was preceded in death by his parents, Rosalio and Luisa Gonzales Romero, his sister, Terry Romero and nephew, Diego Romero. Services will be held Tuesday, October 23, 2018, at the Holy Family Church, 562 Atrisco Dr. SW; Rosary is at 8:30 am and services at 9:00 am. Burial will take place at Santa Fe National Cemetery on Thursday, October 25, 2018 at 10:45 am. Arrangements entrusted to: Riverside Funeral Home of Albuquerque 225 San Mateo Blvd NE (505) 764-9663
