April Christine Trujillo 51, a resident of San Juan/Espanola passed away in Albuquerque on March 5, 2019 surrounded by her loving family and friends. She was proceeded in death by her mother Annabelle Miera, grandparents Lugarda and Juan Miera, sister Joyce Fresquez, nephew Nicholas Fresquez, her Aunt JoAnn whom she cared for, father-in-law Leonard "Slugger" Trujillo, brother-in-law Ivan Atencio. April was truly "one of a kind". She was everyone's listening ear and was a shoulder to cry on for all. Her gentle pure heart and beautiful soul made her special and unique to everyone. Words cannot explain the grief left behind by her loss. Survived by her is husband Kelly Trujillo & their beloved dog Ava, sister Amanda Pacheco children Jaylend, Benji & Owen, nephew Leroy Fresquez (Stacey) children Ian, Hailey & David. Cousins she "CALLED SISTERS" Polly Arzola children Brittany (Amarii) & Ryan, Priscilla Garcia (Pete) child JoJo, Peggy Esquibel (Kevin) children Destiny (who was very special to her) and Leah. Uncle Horace and Aunt Pablita Esquibel (mother and father figure), Lourdes Apodaca (Tom), Joe G. Martinez (whom she called dad). Mother-in-law Terry Atencio, Sister-in-law Brenda (Kateri) Atencio, & Stephanie Trujillo, brother-in-law Glenn (Savannah), Leonard Jr., Scott, Joseph (Aisha) Trujillo. Special cousins Debbie (Martin) Dixon, David Martinez, Myra Vigil, Janet (Steve) Trujillo. Honorary pallbearers, her loving CYFD family and her God-children Everett Martinez, Christopher Arietta, Ryan Arzola, Katrina Aragon and countless lifelong friends that were there to the end to many to mention you know who you are. The Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be held on Thursday, March 14, 2019 starting at 9:00 AM with the Funeral Mass to follow at 9:30 AM at San Juan Bautista Catholic Church, 185 Popay Ave. Ohkay Owingeh, NM. Interment to follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery. Reception will take place at the San Juan Bautista Parish Hall.
