Arcola Johnson Eaton
October 10th, 1932 - August 13th, 2024
Arcola Marie Johnson Eaton, 91, of Whitsett, NC went home to be with her Lord Jesus on Tuesday, August 13, 2024.
A native of Greensboro, NC, Arcola was the wife of the late Dairus Bill Eaton and the daughter of James Hobert Johnson and Nannie Grace McBride Johnson, both deceased. She was a charter member of Brown Summit Baptist Church for 61 years.
Survivors include her daughters, Deborah Eaton Bradshaw and husband, Phil, and Cathy Eaton Flores and husband, Mike; son, Dairus Billy Eaton (and the late Jo); grandchildren, Trent McGuire, Tiffany Hawkins, Mickey Wellmon, Dink Eaton, Corie Gordon, Alissa Campbell, Lexi Butler, Zac Eaton, Katie Eaton, Jake Eaton, Cameron Eaton; nine great grandchildren; and sisters, Linda Moore and husband, Terry, Cynthia Mahaffey and husband, Curtis, Janice Jones, and husband, Ronnie.
In addition to her husband and parents, Arcola was preceded in death by her sisters, Juanita Moore, Helen Tolliver, Faye Deeming, Billie Wilson, Ann Hunt, and Myra Harrison; and brothers, Richard Johnson, Edward Johnson, and Leon Johnson.
The family will receive friends at Pierce-Jefferson Lambeth Chapel, 300 W Wendover Ave, Greensboro, NC 27408 on August 16, 2024 from 6:00PM - 8:00PM. Funeral services will be at 11:00AM on August 17, 2024 at Brown Summit Baptist Church, 6000 Summit Ave, Browns Summit, NC 27214. Interment will be held 11:00AM on August 19, 2024 at Guilford Memorial Park, 6000 High Point Rd, Greensboro, NC 27407.
