Mrs. Ardel J. "Del" Redmond, age 87, of Broadalbin, died on her 87th birthday, Wednesday, February 28, 2024, at Kingsway Arms Nursing Center, Inc, Schenectady. She was born February 28, 1937, in Gloversville, the daughter of Elmer and Ruth (Lockyer) Brooks. Del is survived by two sons, David Redmond and Donald Redmond (Deb); two sisters, Susan Gay (Larry) and Karen Kister (Kevin); as well as several nieces. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband of 45 years, Ronald R. Redmond. The family will receive relatives and friends from 11 am to 1 pm Tuesday, March 5th at Betz, Rossi, Bellinger & Stewart Family Funeral Homes, 51 Fremont St, Gloversville, where a Funeral Service will follow at 1:00PM with the Rev. Ken Applegate officiating. Interment will take place in the spring at Broadalbin Mayfield Rural Cemetery, Broadalbin. Memorial contributions may be made in lieu of flowers to the City Mission of Schenectady, PO Box 760, Schenectady, NY 12301 (citymission.com).
