75, of St. Petersburg, peacefully went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, March 30, 2010. Born on April 22, 1934 in Brandon, MN, she was the daughter of Anton E. and Alice O. Sletto. She is survived by Ralph D. Scholl, her loving husband of 55 years along with daughters; Denise D. and Kevin J. Newell, Sarasota, FL, and Cynthia S. and Douglas R. Pearre, Frederick, MD; grandchildren, Melanie L. and husband David Bronner, Thomaston, GA, Kyle M. Newell, Sarasota, and Sarah R. Pearre, Frederick, MD; great-grandchildren, Hayley L. Baker, Abigail R. Bronner, and Hunter W. Bronner, all of Thomaston, GA; her siblings, Darlene Fedje, MN, Omar Sletto, DE, and Sheryl Watson, FL. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her brother, Arland Sletto, TN. After graduating from high school, she enlisted in the U.S. Navy and served honorably for 2.5 years. Ardelle worked for 18 years as the church secretary for Grace Lutheran Church before retiring. She was very active in the church and participated in the Handbell Choir, the Dorcas Group and Altar Guild to name a few. She loved sewing, golfing, quilting, needlepoint, upholstery, and going on vacations. She was full of life and enjoyed it to the fullest. She will be deeply missed by all that knew and loved her. There will be a visitation on Friday, April 2, 2010 from 11-12pm and a service to follow at 12pm at the 2201 Dr. MLKing St. N. location. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association at alz.org or Suncoast Hospice at thehospice.org.
