Arlene Marie Waschko (nee Faist) of National Park, NJ, passed away peacefully on January 24th, 2024. Born to the late Jacob and Anna (nee Andrews) Faist on February 28th, 1943 in Philadelphia, PA. Arlene is the beloved sister to Margaret Maiese, Charles Faist, and the late Sandra Weaver. Arlene was a graduate of Overbrook High School NJ. After graduation she married and moved to Fort Bliss, Elpaso TX. She returned home and moved to National Park NJ in 1967 until the time of her passing. She worked at National Park Elementary School in the cafeteria until becoming employed as an Admissions Clerk at Underwood Memorial Hospital retiring after 36 years of service. Arlene loved to crochet afghan blankets and bird watch, sometimes at the same time. She was also an avid reader that loved animals and taking care of her houseplants. She had a kind and generous soul, those who knew her are only left with kind memories. Arlene offered those around her a good, clean, love. Her kindness will be missed. Arlene is remembered by her loving children John (Jo Ann) Waschko, Lisa (Mohmmad) Al-Habshi, and Richard ( Bernadette) Waschko. Beloved grandmother to Jacob (Emma), Madelyn (Evan), Abdullah, Amar, Megan (John), Robert (Kristina), and Nicole. Cherished Great-grandmother to Maxwell, Alice, Olivia, and John. Loved by many nieces and nephews, and her beloved cat Cutlet.
