Arlie "Bob" Cradic
March 10th, 1939 - April 19th, 2014
Arlie Robert "Bob" Cradic, 75, of Church Hill, passed away Saturday, April 19, 2014 at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center. Born in Kingsport, he has lived most of his life in Hawkins County. He retired from AFG, Church Hill plant following 34 years of service. He was a lifetime member of SOAR district 9 of the USWA. He always loved buying gifts for the kids and the orphanages in the area during Christmas. He was preceded in death by his parents, Arlie Cradic Sr and Willie Ward Cradic; daughter and son in law, Renita Gay and Randall Simpson; two brothers, Clayton Cradic and Franklin Cradic and sister, Virginia Worley. He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Wanda Cradic; two daughters, Sheila Hopkins and husband Darrell, Kingsport and Lois Lindholm and husband Chuck, Angier, North Carolina; son, Robert Cradic and wife Amy, Maumee, Ohio; ten grandchildren, Nathan Simpson, Joshua Hopkins, Joe Simpson, Jennifer Hopkins, Charles Lindholm III, Brittany Cradic, Ashley Lindholm, Cheyenne Cradic, Chandler Cradic and Max Cradic; ten great grandchildren, Tabitha Simpson, Bryson Simpson, Brayden Simpson, Aubrie Simpson, Alexander Hopkins, Kaylee Hopkins, Kiera Hopkins, Kaydence Hopkins, Adrianna Hopkins and Maleah Hopkins; two sisters, Shirley Merritt and Joyce Woods and her husband Billy; and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 5 till 7pm Tuesday (April 22, 2014) at Carter-Trent Funeral Home, Church Hill. A funeral service will follow at 7pm with Pastor Wayne Baker officiating. A graveside service will be conducted at 1pm Wednesday at Old Kingsport Presbyterian Church Cemetery. Those who plan to attend the graveside are asked to join the family at the funeral home by 12noon to follow in procession. Pallbearers will be Nathan Simpson, Joshua Hopkins, Joe Simpson, Charles Lindholm III, Chandler Cradic and Joshua Crawford. Carter-Trent Funeral Home, Church Hill is serving the Cradic family.
