Arnold O. Paro

Mr. Arnold O. Paro Sr., 69, of Goewey Rd., Fultonville, NY passed away Tuesday March 3, 2010 at St. Mary?s Hospital in Amsterdam with his loving family at his side. Born in Amsterdam, NY on September 3, 1940 a son of Alick and Florence Vickers Paro. He was a lifelong area resident and attended local schools. Mr. Paro was employed for over 40 years as a Road Construction Foreman for the Cady Co. in Amsterdam retiring in 1999. Arnold also worked on the family farm with his son Arnold Jr. for many years. He was a former member of the Ephratah Rod & Gun Club and enjoyed Hunting and Fishing. He married Patricia Paro in 1989. She passed away in 1994. He is survived by his children, Arnold P. Paro Jr. and his wife Cindy of Amsterdam, NY, Valerie A. Caban and her husband Hector of Amsterdam, NY, Alick L. Paro and his wife Linda of Fultonville, NY, Andre M. Paro and his wife Joanie of Fultonville, NY and Vanessa Hart of Amsterdam, NY. His companion, Rose Russell of Fultonville, NY. Three brothers, David Paro, Kenneth Paro and Donald Paro, Three sisters, Gail Sobkowicz, Teed Petroski and Lynda Thomas. Eleven Grandchildren and Fourteen Great-Grandchildren. Arnold is also is survived by his first wife Lena May and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services will be held on Friday March 5, 2010 at 10:00A.M. at the Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Ave, Amsterdam, NY with Rev. Robert Walter presiding. Interment will be in Perth Cemetery, Perth, N.Y. The family will receive relatives and friends on Thursday March 4th, 2010 This Evening from 4:00 to 7:00PM at the funeral home.
