Arthur Bernard Taboada "Art/Tury"
October 6th, 1963 - January 3rd, 2022
Arthur Bernard Taboada (Art / Tury), of St. Petersburg, FL passed away on the 3rd of January, 2022 after a brave and valiant battle with cancer. Art was born in Tampa and raised in Dover NJ and Miami, FL before moving to Jacksonville, Atlanta, GA and finally settling in St. Petersburg, FL. He graduated high school in 1980 from Interamerican Military Academy and also received his Associate degree. He is preceded in life’s final journey by his Maternal grandparents, Marcos and Caridad Darias; Paternal grandparents, Arturo and Delia Taboada. Art is survived by his loving family; life-long partner Ron Fields; parents, Arturo and Susana Taboada; loving sisters, Dr. Susan “Dee” Taboada and Dr. Karen (Gil) Garcia; nephews, Gabriel “Nate,” Kenny, and Peter Nathan. Art was employed by Concord Career Colleges, where he served as the Administrative Assistant to the Campus President. Here he was the recipient of the prestigious Inaugural Concord College National Torch Award. Previously he was co-publisher of TLW Magazine and Vice President of Chase Bank Mortgages in Jacksonville, FL. Art was always the individual you counted on to accomplish anything. He was always willing to give of himself and go beyond the extra mile. He made everyone he met feel appreciated and valued. His zest for life was contagious and shared by all who knew him. He was silly, happy, funny, charming, and he always had a smile and something kind to say. He will be missed by those whose lives he touched. His magnificent spirit and all the wonderful memories he made will continue to comfort those who share his passion for life. His family invites you to join them in a celebration of his life on Wednesday, January 12 2022, gathering starting at 2:00 p.m., service at 3 p.m and reception to immediately follow service to be held at Anderson McQueen Funeral Home, 2201 Dr. Martin Luther King Street (aka 9th Street at 22nd Ave North) in St Petersburg or via the live broadcast at http://webcast.funeralvue.com/events/viewer/66513 In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Metropolitan Ministries: https://www.metromin.org/
