Arthur G. Milligan 83 of Venice, Florida, formerly of Cumberland, R.I. and West Roxbury, MA, passed away peacefully at Tidewell Hospice on November 13, 2011. Beloved husband of Janice for 57 years, father of Artie (wife Barbara), Georgette, Paul, grandfather of Josh, Alisha, Elizabeth, Dakota, Keaton, Everest , Isaac; and twin brother of Chester. Arthur was son of the late Arthur T. and Gertrude Milligan of Boston, Ma, founder of A.T. Milligan Plumbing. His great, great, great grandfather came to America in about 1850 from Ireland and settled in Boston. Arthur was a graduate of Boston Technical High School. At age 17 joined the U.S. Navy in 1946, and graduated from Boston University in 1952 with a BS in B.A. At Boston University he earned a commission in the U.S Air Force was a member of the A.K. Psi Fraternity, Scabbard & Blade and Scarlet Key honorary society. A salesman by trade of Business systems, Insurance and Real Estate, he received the Life Underwriters Training Council and Graduate Realtor Institute Designations. He was a member of the Prospect Lodge Order of Masonry and the American Legion.
