I'm a cousin of Arthur's, and am very sorry to learn of his passing. When I was fresh out of piano tuning training in 1972, I went to Aeolian Corporation on 57th street because I knew Cousin Artie was vice-president there. I had no appointment, just walked in off the street, introduced myself as his cousin Mildred Goldberg's son (I don't think he knew or remembered me, since I'm 12 years younger), and he hired me on the spot, giving me a great opportunity to gain experience and get started in the business. I attribute much of my present success to Arthur giving me that early opportunity. I called him within the last year to remind him of the great service he did for me and thank him, and we had a very nice conversation. I was hoping to visit him in the near future, but alas that opportunity is gone now. My sincere condolences to all of Arthur's family.
