Ashby Reed Sanderson, Jr., passed away on Tuesday, June 28, 2022. He was born in Versailles on December 6, 1940 to the late Ashby and Alma Foley Sanderson. He owned Sanderson and Son Plumbing for over 50 years; he started the business with his father. Ashby enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, sitting outside on his porch swing, and horse racing. He was a member of Forks of Elkhorn Baptist Church. He is survived by his daughter, Kristie Kincaid, Frankfort; his sons, Shane (Whitney) Sanderson, Frankfort, and Robert Sanderson, Turkey; his sisters, Dianna Sanderson and Lucy Sanderson, both of Frankfort; his brothers, Gary Wayne (Kathy) Sanderson, Shelbyville, Edward (Katherine) Sanderson, Frankfort, and Darrel (Melony) Sanderson, Frankfort; his grandchildren Andrew, Julian, Lana, Chaz, Bret, Tina, Billy, R.V., Shirley, Carl, Tyler, and Chase; his great grandchild, Karter; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Ashby Scott Sanderson, his sister, Ledale Sanderson; and his brother, Robert Sanderson. Private Services will be held on Friday, July 1, 2022. Clark Legacy Center, Versailles Rd is in charge of arrangements.
